Australasian Genomics Technology Association 2017 (AGTA17) will showcase dynamic cross-discipline -omics research, and uniquely allow genomics and bioinformatics researchers, as well as industry, to interact over a wide range of topics. These will include technologies focused new approaches to genome assembly, microbial and single cell genomics, in silico prediction of functionality as well as dogs, devils and more.
AGTA17 will be held in Australia’s second-oldest city and southernmost capital, Hobart. The town’s rich cache of colonial architecture and natural charms are complemented by festivals, markets and amazing food and drink. It will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor from October 29th to November 1st.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Elinor Karlsson from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Deanna Church from 10x Genomics, Dr. Kimberly Reynolds from UT Southwestern Medical Centre, and Dr. Pauline NG from Genome Institute of Singapore.
