Data Carpentry Workshop – Sydney
In the two days just preceding the COMBINE Symposium we will be running a Data Carpentry workshop!
When: Oct 7-8, 2015
Where: University of Sydney.
Topics: Data management with spreadsheets, data analysis, and visualisation with R.
Data Carpentry’s aim is to teach researchers basic computing concepts and skills so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain. You don’t need any programming experience to attend, just a desire to learn!
Our instructors are scientists like yourselves, post-docs and PhD students from the life sciences, bioinformatics, and computational biology.
Data Carpentry’s teaching is hands-on, so participants are required to bring their own laptops. You can find detailed instructions on setting up the required software on the workshop website: http://combine-australia.github.io/2015-10-07-R-Data-Sydney/.
