Two molecular modelling meetings in Melbourne

Molecular modellers of Melbourne and surrounds, consider yourselves lucky! Two exciting meetings will take place on the 11th of May, and you can attend both! Please check out the details below.

The next VLSCI meet up of molecular modellers will again offer the chance for you to bring along your current research problems for discussion, combined with researcher talks and networking drinks. This will also be the first opportunity for most to check out VLSCI’s new home in LAB-14.

D.E. Shaw Research is an independent scientific research group based in New York.  A small team from DE Shaw are visiting Melbourne in May in order to present a talk/information session about their organisation and  their research.

Their motivation for presenting this talk is to connect with like-minded researchers and students in the computational sciences, specifically with job-seekers who might like to learn about opportunities to join their team in New York.

Their goal audience is  primarily  Ph.D.-level students and postdocs, but they are also open to hosting undergraduates who might be interested in their research.
